I get the “BCDaemon is not running” notification, what should I do?

Modified on Tue, 27 Dec 2022 at 09:06 PM

NOTICE: From v1.8.3 BC Daemon is deprecated and will not be used/maintained anymore as BC Vault is using WalletConnect for DeFi/Web3 functions (see: WalletConnect - DeFi dApps).

It can happen, that after installation of the BC Vault Desktop Application the BCDaemon service will not be started yet and thus you will get the "BCDaemon is not running" notification. The simplest way to solve this issue is to restart the computer.

If that would not solve your problem, we recommend you to reinstall the BC Vault desktop application and make sure you install all components including BCDaemon.
